ARC Academy held a Virtual Open Doors Day!
On November 13, 2021 (Saturday), everyone interested in the gaming industry and the news at ARC Academy, had the opportunity to attend the Open Doors Day event, which took place online via Zoom, as well as on Facebook Live.
Anthony Christov and Milin Djalaliev, founders of ARC Academy, opened the event. They talked about the pace at which the game industry is developing worldwide and the different types of games for which the Academy prepares its students. It became clear from the presentation that the entertainment industry is developing excellently in Bulgaria and continues to show definite progress.
About the engine of ARC Academy, namely the curriculum, we received details from Anthony Christov and Borislav Bogdanov – Program Director at ARC, and Art Director and Executive Director at Snapshot Games. They talked about the two-year program, which is narrowly profiled in the 3 main areas that the industry needs: Game Design, Concept Art, and 3D Art. They touched on important issues such as funding, scholarships, and career opportunities after completing the ARC, as well as the exciting conclusion of the two-year Game Dev: Game Lab program.
Those wishing to enter the world of the game industry who apply by March 31, 2022, will have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program before starting full-time studies.
In the next stage of the presentation, some of last year’s Game Dev Advanced students presented their amazing project—the game CAIM. They talked about the stages of development they went through and the team process they followed until the final itself.
Finally, participants had the opportunity to ask their questions and receive additional information about applications, admissions, portfolios, and more.
