ARC Academy Open Day – Game and Cinema Programs, Scholarship Contests
On May 14th, we welcomed young people interested in video game and film education and their parents to our campus.
ARC Academy co-founder Anthony Christov opened the Open Day and talked about the Academy’s mission to develop talents who want to start a career in the game and creative industries.
He pointed out that the most valuable asset of the Academy are the lecturers, who are also professionals in the studios.
“In all probability, the person who will help you with your first job is the person next to you – a fellow student or a lecturer”,
said Anthony Christov, emphasizing how important the contacts a person creates during the educational process are.
“To meet the demands of the business, our programs are organized in a logic similar to what happens in the industry,”
noted Krasimira Manashfi, program manager at ARC Academy. She talked more about the two-year programs Concept art, 3D art, and Game Design.
As part of the Open Day, we highlighted the VFX & Animation, and Game Programming programs, which starts this fall. In special presentations, guests learned more about the subjects being studied, the projects being developed during the studies, and the career opportunities after graduation.
Nikolay Dimitrov, technical director at Gameloft Sofia, presented the Game Programming agenda. The two-year course will focus on video game programming with the C++ language and Unreal Engine. In the fourth semester, students will be involved in developing a game together with their colleagues from the Concept art, 3D art, and Game design programs.
There is currently a scholarship contest for Game Programming. The deadline is June 4, and you can find the task conditions at the link.
