On 05.06.2021 (Saturday) everyone interested in the game industry and the activities of ARC Academy had the opportunity to join the event in our classroom in Sofia Tech Park or online through the Zoom platform. The event was in line with all anti-epidemic measures in the country at the time.
The program included an informative presentation, conversations with current students, discussion with participants and teasers for future initiatives, partnerships and plans of ARC Academy.
The Open Day was opened by Anthony Hristov – co-founder of ARC Academy. He has worked on film and animation in Hollywood for over 30 years, the last 18 of which as artistic director at Pixar before founding the academy. Anthony shared with the participants his impressions and conclusions about the entertainment industry, the forecasts for its development around the world, Europe and in particular Bulgaria. He also shared what led him to create ARC Academy and clarified the exact reasons for video games to be its focus. During the presentation we learned more details about the different types of video games and the roles for which the academy prepares its students. We got an overview of the already established and developing game studios in Bulgaria in recent decades, their successes and progress over the years.
For its two years of existence, ARC has grown to such an extent that our need for spaciousness and communicativeness of our location met us with the American University in Bulgaria. For the first time Anthony Hristov announced during the open doors our partnership with them, which envisages relocation of ARC in the building of AUBG Elieff in Sofia. Stay tuned!

He provided extensive information on the two-year training, the main subjects, the specialization and profiling, as well as the exciting end of the program: Game Lab.
During the presentation, the topics of funding, scholarships and opportunities for development and realization after the completion of ARC were touched upon, where our students themselves took the initiative and shared their experience in the world of ARC. Subsequently, the participants had the opportunity to pose their questions, get acquainted with our team and receive additional information about the application, admission, upcoming competitions and more.
