Ognyan Barov is a Lead UI Artist at Ubisoft Sofia with 16 years of experience in the game dev industry. After graduating as an Animation director, he started his career as a 2D/3D artist, animator and graphic designer. He spent the last 11 years of his career at Ubisoft, focused entirely on graphic design and creation of UI for video games.
Ognyan has worked in the development of games for almost every game console available in the last 10 years, from handheld and PC to PS4 and Xbox One. He has gained experience working in every aspect of the creation of art and design of UI and with all the major UI types present in modern video games. As a lead artist at Ubisoft Sofia, he has established and shaped the UI team of the studio and its working process. During his career at Ubisoft, he walked the challenging path of the studio from a small team working on casual games to a lead studio working on huge game franchises as Assassin’s Creed®.
