Senior Level Designer, Ubisoft Sofia
Professional Experience:
After years in graphic design and video game journalism, Yasen took a leap of faith and joined Ubisoft Sofia in 2011 as a Level Designer. There he had the chance to work on a number of Assassin’s Creed titles such as Liberation, Rogue and Origins. He also participated in the creation of the New York area for the first chapter of Tom Clancy’s The Division, while being on a short-term mission in Reflections, a Ubisoft studio. Yasen’s next adventure took him to Poland and CD Projekt Red. After contributing to The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine, he took the role of Level Design Coordinator and later Acting Lead Level Designer on Cyberpunk 2077. Now Yasen is back where it all began – Ubisoft Sofia, working on the level design of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
Work highlights:
Yasen is happy to have had the chance to craft worlds and missions for multiple Assassin’s Creed titles. His favourites are the gang headquarters and the naval forts he designed for Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Dropping in the middle of a highly ambitious project like Tom Clancy’s The Division, in a new studio, and managing to contribute on the New York district Kips Bay was also a very special experience for him. Yasen’s highest achievements so far are the opportunities, for just less than ten years, to land in two world-class companies and also to climb the level design ladder from a junior to a lead.
