Christian Nikolov – student in the Game Dev
Christian Nikolov is a student in the Game Dev Fundamentals program at ARC Academy. He has been interested in movies and games since he was a child.
The attraction to horror video games makes him take the path of game development. Along with various animations (Star Wars – The Clone Wars) and movies, he is passionate about storytelling and storyboarding. Christian’s hobby is mountaineering and his dream is to climb Mount Everest.
How did you learn about ARC Academy?
Honestly, with good luck. I had just left university because I was disappointed and then my best friend told me about the Academy. I thought about going abroad because it was my only chance to work and learn about my favorite things. Luck or fate, I inadvertently came across an ARC’s ad on Instagram. I looked at the site with my best friend (because we have common interests) and decided to give it a try.
What do you like most about the training so far?
I was impressed by the way of teaching and the close relationship between teacher and student. These are unforgettable emotions that make you learn more and more. In my opinion, this distinguishes ARC from other schools and especially from universities in Bulgaria.
What inspires you to create?
When new movies or video games come out, I always think that I have a chance to be one of the people who made this work. As well as the architecture of the old buildings.
What do you think is the most important quality that an artist should have?
Dedication and deep insight into the image of the hero.
What are the biggest challenges you have faced so far in your training?
When learning different software, something always goes wrong for some reason, so every task is a challenge for me.
What advice would you give to someone wondering if they should enroll in the ARC?
Apply if you want to touch this magic. You will meet many talented and radiant people. Don’t worry if you can’t paint very well. No endeavor is easy. There will always be obstacles, the important thing is not to give up on your dreams.
