We Awarded the Best Projects in School Game Clubs
Over 250 students from all over the country participated in 20 school game clubs held with the support of ARC Academy. During the school year, they went through all the stages of game creation and developed their own video game projects and concepts.
At the end of the school year, we organized a competition in two stages. In the first, we collected the projects of the participants from the clubs and determined finalists in three categories – Game Demo, Game Concept, and Concept Art. On June 22, they presented their projects to a jury composed of Krasimira Manashvi – program coordinator and ARC Academy Alumni, Filip Yankov – director of the Computer Science program, and Ivaylo Koralski, co-founder of the indie studio Kyodai.
All the finalists did an excellent job, and the task of the jury was not easy at all. After a joint discussion, the winners were determined:
Elisia Blagoeva from PMG “Prof. Em. Ivanov” Kyustendil with the supervisor Mrs. Detelina Tiholova took first place in the Concept Art category.
Mihail Madzharov from SPGE “John Atanasov”, Sofia with Mr. Stoyan Nikolov as supervisor won first place in the Game Demo category with his project Bulgar.
In the category Game Concept, the winner was Gergana Dimitrova from SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Dobrich, headed by Mrs. Stella Slavova. She won over the jury with her idea for a video game called JamScape.
Prizes for the winners – 3 copies of the Deluxe Serpent God Edition of Total
War: Warhammer – have been specially provided by our partners at Creative Assembly.
All finalists received free download codes for TZAR, Celtic Kings: Rage of War, and Tropico 5 from the Steam store, provided by our partner Haemimont Games.
