We introduced students from SoftUni Svetlina to professionals from the game and film industry
We were invited by SoftUni Svetlina – high school for digital skills, based in Sofia to organize two lectures for students from grades 8 to 12, dedicated to the game and film industries.
Daniela Yavasheva, HR at Worldwide FX – a visual effects studio at Nu Boyana Film Studios, told how a film goes from idea to distribution. She shared curious moments from the set of big titles like Hellboy, Hunter Killer, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Rambo: Last blood, London has fallen, etc. Daniela highlighted the important role VFX artists play in the creation of a film by showing before and after footage of the visual effects being put on film.
The students were curious to know what skills a VFX artist should possess and what software is used in this field.
Borislav Bogdanov, art director at Snapshot Games and program director at ARC Academy, focused on the game industry. He talked about the work process and different roles in a game studio. The students actively participated with questions as the topics went through the different programming languages, consoles, and of course favorite video games.
We thank SoftUni Svetlina for the invitation and the opportunity to meet such bright students! We are happy to have such partners in the mission of quality and innovative education!
