The Game Dev Fundamentals and Game Dev Advanced Scholarship competitions are over, and ARC Academy had the opportunity to explore the creative potential of many young talents. We help those who want to develop in the game industry, so from each competition, we have selected five winners who will receive 30% of the tuition fee at ARC Academy. The scholarships are provided by the America for Bulgaria Foundation.
The finalists of the Game Dev Fundamentals competition are: Denis Stanev, Ivo Yordanov, Christian Yotov, Kristina Mihailova and Martin Kyulkhandzhiev.
The task of the competition took our participants back thousands of years when the Thracians and Mayans inhabited today’s lands. We told them a story in which the two tribes meet and start a fierce battle. To unleash their imagination, scholarship applicants had to draw a Maya deity, a Thracian warrior, or create a storyboard.
The finalists in the competition under the Game Dev Advanced program are: Adriana Atanasova, Anastasia Jeleva, Ivo Kalfov, Stefan Vassilev and Stoyan Sirakov.
We immersed the contestants in the world of robotics by inventing a story with a protagonist, a half-human / half-robot, always carrying a cyber weapon and the mission is to stop a criminal group that aims to take over the entire city. Applicants for the Game Dev Advanced Scholarship had the opportunity to create a 3D model or concept art of the character or to showcase their creative writing skills, continuing the story of the character.
Thank you for the interest and time of all participants! Don’t forget to like our Facebook page to stay up to date with future news about ARC Academy programs.
