Lead 3D Graphics Programmer

PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Georgi Chunev has many years of experience in game development. He has worked on the creation of numerous top Gameloft Bulgaria titles, including Heroes of the Dark, War Planet Online, GT Racing 2, Brothers in Arms 2, and N.O.V.A. 3. Before getting into games, he worked on innovative algorithms for rendering images from plenoptic cameras as part of a research team at Adobe Systems in San Jose, California. He completed his Master’s in Computer Science at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in the USA. He also worked there as an Assistant Professor of computer graphics and during his P.h.D., he has been also a Research Assistant.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

He is involved in several patents and numerous scientific papers related to real-time rendering and plenoptic camera technologies. In the past, he was involved in observational astronomy and in this field, he also participated in the publication of scientific works. He has worked with instruments such as the Spitzer Space Telescope (SST), the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) and the Wyoming Infrared Observatory (WIRO).

Currently he is translating and publishing game books as a hobby. Georgi is involved with translations, design and layout in the last three titles of the cult Fighting Fantasy series. For 2022, his edition of Ian Livingstone’s The Assassins of Allansia won a ‘Pustra Niksa’ Award for Best Internally Illustrated Playbook.
