About The Program
“Foundations in Digital Arts” is a 6-month online program for artists who want to create a portfolio of digital works and confidently continue their education in art specialties.
It aims to help young people who want to pursue creative professions combine knowledge and skills from traditional art (Anatomy, Perspective, Composition and Color theory) with their application in digital drawing and 3D modeling with the help of the most commonly used and industry-recognized software – Adobe Photoshop and Blender.
The instructors you will meet will provide specific tasks and feedback throughout the training period. Their guidance will help you develop a fundamental understanding of art, its possibilities and applications. These are undoubtedly important insights for any artist who wants to turn their talent into a profession.
Through mentorship and a personalized approach, you will get to know two of the most important software programs used in the field (Adobe Photoshop, Blender, etc.). Completing the program will enable you to confidently step into the art specialty of your choice.

What will you learn?
In 102 instructional hours, accepted candidates will cover the basics of traditional art, familiarize themselves with Adobe Photoshop and Blender to create digital works, and learn various drawing techniques used to create exciting worlds and characters.

Learn the essential tools, principles and techniques used to create digital art through graphic and 3D software, including computer graphics, digital image processing, and 3D modeling, which are crucial for understanding and creating art in a digital environment.

How does the training proceed?
Participants will engage for 4 hours per week on one weekday and one weekend day. Classes are 2 hours during the week and 2 hours on weekends.
Classes cover theoretical preparation and practical parts. Instructors will provide advice, recommendations for improvement, and guidance to help you enhance your skills. They will assist you in continuing your education in chosen art specialties or at ARC Academy, confident in your ability to use softwares and to create quality, authentic digital works.

In addition to the opportunity to prepare yourself and your personal portfolio for various art specialties, the program 'Foundations in Digital Arts' will allow you to apply for the 2-year specializations in Concept Art and 3D Art at ARC Academy.

Tuition fee
The full tuition fee for the program is €960.
When enrolling, you need to make an advance payment of 30% (288 Euro), with the remaining 70% due after the program’s start (within 1 month from its start).

Who is the program for?
The main goal of this program is to help you build a portfolio that will give you the confidence to continue your education in different art programs (at ARC Academy or other academies/universities).
It is suitable for students and beginner artists who want to acquire knowledge and skills in the foundational disciplines of traditional art (Perspective, Composition, Color Theory and Anatomy) and then apply them to Digital Art and 3D Modeling.
What are the admission deadlines?

Do you need to have previous experiences?
The program is designed to meet the needs of complete beginners. Nevertheless, if you do have some experience in traditional or digital drawing, the program will allow you to expand your skills.
When are the classes held?
Every week, 2 classes will be held, each lasting 120 minutes: one during the week (Wednesday from 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm) and one during the weekend (Saturday from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm).
Do classes align with the students' schedules?
The training is adjusted to the students’ abilities.
If you miss any classes, you can rely on the reminders for each class. However, we would recommend your presence in person, whenever it’s possible.
What's the form of education?
The education is fully online in real-time and the program lasts 6 months.
There will be 2 classes in person during which students and mentors can get to know each other. They are not mandatory.
What happens if we miss one of the classes?
Each lecture is recorded and can be watched online. This way you will not miss the material and you will be able to catch up with the tasks.
What's the application and admission process?
You need to fill out an application form. Following this, our team will contact you to schedule a personal meeting (interview), where we will gladly hear more about your motivation and goals.
What do I need to prepare for the interview?
The interview is a personal meeting where we would like to learn more about your goals and plans for development. You don’t need to prepare a portfolio or anything else.
What software do you need to have?
During Digital Drawing classes you will be working with Adobe Photoshop and in 3D Modeling classes – with Blender.
Adobe Photoshop is a paid software, which you need to acquire yourself. We can assist you in obtaining preferential terms on its purchase.
Blender is a an entirely free software.
How do I take advantage of the 6-installment payment option?
Together with our Partner newpay.bg, we provide the option to pay 70% of the full tuition fee (960 Euro) in 6 equal installments, with a minimal discount.
To take advantage of it, you need to share it with the ARC Academy team, and we will redirect you to the newpay platform. You will be approved after a short and easy application process.
