About the Program
The 3D Art programs prepares students with practical skills and in-depth knowledge in 3D modeling, texturing, animation and working with advanced software. The goal of the program is to give you a confident start in your career path in the game industry.
The focus is on practical classes and real project work, and in the final semester, students from all game majors (Game Design, Concept Art and 3D Art) come together in teams to create a prototype game with the support of a studio producer.
The training takes place on-site at our campus, with classes primarily in the evenings and weekends to suit anyone with a busy schedule.
3D Art
3D artists create three-dimensional images and animations that are widely used in creative industries from video games and film to advertising and architecture.
They work with technologies such as computer graphics and digital sculpture to recreate objects and characters with realistic shapes, textures and movement.
Their work combines skills in modelling, animation, illustration and visualisation, each contributing to the construction of complete 3D projects.
Benefits
ARC Academy provides you with a wide range of knowledge and skills for game development. During the training, you will receive personal feedback and mentoring while working on projects. You will be able to use fully equipped rooms with professional software and hardware.
Industry recognized certificate

For Whom
The 3D Art program is designed for future 3D artists who want to develop professional skills in creating characters, environments and objects for games. The training provides a solid foundation and hands-on experience necessary for a career in the game industry.
In short, the degree is suitable for those who:
- want to model and animate characters, creatures, environments and props for games (props);
- have an interest in digital art and a desire to learn how to work with 3D processing software;
- love creating visual worlds and turning their ideas into realistic 3D forms.
Approach
The on-campus programs are designed for motivated individuals who want to immerse themselves in a creative environment and grow through intensive, hands-on projects and teamwork. They are suitable for both beginners and those with some prior experience looking for career-oriented training.
Format: Classes take place in person at ARC’s campus in Sofia, within a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.
Schedule: 8–10 hours per week of lectures and practical exercises, plus around 10 hours of independent work on assignments and projects.
Support: Direct mentorship from industry professionals, regular feedback, and access to an active community of students, alumni, and experts.
Skills
During the training you will deepen and improve your skills in drawing, 3D modeling and working with specialized software. The process includes mastering new tools, techniques and approaches. You will learn to:
- Create three-dimensional models of environments and game worlds, including landscapes, architectural scenes and objects with visual depth
- Work with software recognized by 3D professionals
- Model characters, creatures and costumes, developing skills in sculpting, texturing and creating unique designs
- Go through the entire process of creating a game – from concept to prototype (demo)
- Learn the basics of animation and animate 3D models
- Meet industry demands and how to start a successful career
Curriculum
The 3D Art major is a two-year (4 semesters) program. During the course you will acquire the knowledge, skills and techniques to work in the field of 3D art and you will learn how to use software to create 3D images that are used in the game and creative industries, product companies and architectural studios.

Fourth Semester: Game Lab
Your training at ARC Academy ends with a practical phase – Game Lab. In it, students come together to create a video game where everyone contributes the skills they have learned and the career roles they aspire to. 3D artists are involved in the creation of levels, environments and animations according to the profile in which they have specialized.
Game Lab
ARC Academy students complete their studies with a practical project, developing a video game as a team. Each participant contributes with their acquired skills, taking on a role that aligns with their career goals—ranging from designers to 2D and 3D artists. Under the guidance of mentors, they create their first game by following the real workflow of an indie studio. This approach not only enhances their technical and creative abilities but also prepares them for the dynamics of the professional environment.
