How Video Games are made – a Lecture for Students

The holidays are over, but we’re still giving gifts. Invite us to your school and you can win the opportunity to participate in our online course “How to Become a Game Developer?” for free.

What does ARC Academy do in school?

Young people love to play video games – the popularity of titles like Minecraft and Fornite proves this point. In the framework of a lecture, we present them with the possibility of professional realization in the field of the game industry. Our initiative started last school year, and so far more than 1000 students from all over the country have learned about the stages that go through the development of a video game and the professionals involved in it.

The topic is extremely interesting for young people who ask a number of questions – “What are the programming languages for video games?”, “What is needed to start working in a game studio?”, “What are the salaries in game studios?”.

After the lecture, we conduct a 10-question quiz that tests students’ knowledge of the topic “Video Games”. Top performers get the opportunity to participate in our free online How to Become a Game Developer course in February, where they will meet 10 active game industry professionals and learn more about video game creation.

As a gesture to our hosts – the teachers – we provide them with free access to the course. You can learn everything about the course – schedule, topics, and lecturers – here.

How to get involved?

The lecture is held free of charge, online at a time convenient for you and your students. It is suitable for students from grades 10 to 12, and there is no limit to the number of attendees. The more the merrier… and more rewards! All you need to do is fill out the contact form.
