Open Doors and graduation of the fifth class at ARC Academy

On June 16th, ARC Academy celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2023/2024 for the fifth consecutive year, attended by our alumni, guests, partners, and lecturers.

Open Doors

The Open Doors event provided an opportunity for anyone interested in the gaming industry to learn more about the Academy’s programs, career prospects in the field, and the entire process of creating a video game. Krasimira Manashfi, Program Coordinator at ARC Academy, and Evgeni Tenev, lecturer and Lead Game Producer at Creative Assembly Sofia, shared detailed information about the two-year education program at the Academy, with a special focus on the final semester – Game Lab. They also shared their impressions of the students’ work, which exceeded expectations this year.

We were excited to announce to all attendees the scholarship competition in partnership with RyseUp Studios. We offer this opportunity to support and encourage young talents to take their first step towards a career in the industry. More information can be found here.

Game Projects and Art Exhibition

The highlight of the event was the presentation of video games developed by our graduates completing their two-year course at ARC.

The “Yunache” team captivated everyone with their 3rd personal adventure game inspired by Bulgarian mythology and folklore, where the main character enters a dream world, finds a magical book, and must return it to its owner.

The “Candy Chaos” team excited the audience with their dynamic 1st person shooter game, in which the main character, Penny, defends good vegetables from the attacks of evil candies.

All guests had the opportunity to play the games and view the art exhibition, specially prepared by the first-year students.

Graduation

A heartfelt moment was the farewell to the Class of 2023/2024, who received their certificates from the founders of the Academy.

We are proud of all their achievements. We wish them much success in all their future endeavors. They remain an integral part of the ARC family, and we believe they will make significant contributions to the gaming industry.
