With over 15 years of experience in the gaming industry, he has worked with renowned companies such as Atari and Arkane. Milen successfully balances business management and creative leadership, engaging in both the external aspects of publishing and business development, as well as inspiring and leading a team of exceptional creators. In 2023, his studio achieved significant success with the game “Roboquest.” In this article, you will learn more about him, his journey into the gaming industry, and his role in education. 📃

Why did you choose to develop in the game industry and what projects have you worked on so far?

I chose the gaming industry because games are created on rapidly evolving hardware and are at the forefront of innovation. I wanted to creatively express the worlds I imagine and inspire others through the games we develop. Additionally, I love the daily process of going to work and collaborating with talented and motivated people

What inspired you to become a program director at ARC Academy’s distance learning program?

At a certain point in life, after accumulating knowledge and experience, the natural evolution for me is to share what I’ve learned to help the next generation of creators. ARC Academy presents a great opportunity for me to build a strong team of international teachers to deliver this knowledge effectively.

What are the main advantages of distance learning?

Remote working offers undeniable advantages in the modern age: it reduces the time, energy, and resources spent on commuting. It allows you to access programs from anywhere in the world and facilitates early interactions with people on a global scale.

What is your favorite video game?

I’ve played many games across various genres and appreciate them for different reasons—art, story, gameplay, groundbreaking technical advancements, and more. Some games resonate with me emotionally. However, if I had to choose just one game to take with me to a deserted island, it would be World of Warcraft Classic. I could talk for hours about why, but that would take too long here!

What advice would you give potential students considering applying to the distance learning program?

Be curious and engage in activities like playing games, drawing, and reading—just keep learning and creating things that inspire you. Work on your logical thinking, but also embrace spontaneity and creativity. Don’t spend all your time in front of a screen—go outside and explore life’s adventures. The world beyond your room is a rich source of inspiration. However, don’t be afraid to put in late nights when needed, as this time is essential for laying the groundwork for your professional career. Instead of merely being ambitious, focus on staying motivated!
