Who are the four winners of the Chibi Phoenix Scholarship Contest?

On February 18, the competition for scholarships in partnership with Chibi Phoenix for the four programs at ARC Academy ended.

All tasks were evaluated by a jury from the game studio consisting of Zhana Mitkova – Recruiter Manager, Kristina Angelova – Art Director and Viktor Varbanov – CPO and Game Design Lead.

The prizes we provide for the winners are a 30% scholarship of the fee for the first year of study.

Participants chose between four tasks, depending on which specialty they wanted to apply for. Participants chose between four tasks, depending on which specialty they wanted to apply for. Here are the conditions:

History:

In an ancient desert rises the city of forgotten tales – a place of tales and legends. Here, in a veil of centuries-old stories and magic, lie the powers of dreams and lost worlds. But the ancient fairy guardian loses control, allowing evil forces to enter and transform the city into an eternal nightmare.

Game Design:

Develop the game as an “open-world MMO”.

The document we expect should contain:

  • Summary (maximum ½ page)
  • Description of main character and story (maximum ½ page)
  • 2 game mechanics (maximum 1 page each)
  • List of game elements: items, enemies, weapons, etc. (maximum 1 page)
  • Example design of a game location/area, including a plan or sketch.
  • Conditions for winning and losing the game (maximum 2 pages)
  • Optional: Proposal for further development of the game/story (maximum 1 page)

Concept Art

Show us how your imagination and conceptual thinking works by drawing how you imagine any of the characters and/or environments in the game.

3D Art

Introduce us to the main character or environment in the game that you would like to model in 3D. Don’t limit yourself to just illustrations. You can also use clay, stop motion, paper, or whatever else you decide will best represent your idea.

Game Programming

The sum of the first 1000 prime numbers Sp(1000) = 3682913, and their digit sum is 3 + 6 + 8 + 2 + 9 + 1 + 3 = 32. Write a C/C++ program that calculates and outputs the sum of the DIGITS OF Sp (1000000).

Thanks to those who participated and submitted their designs. Everyone was great, but there was always only one winner per category.

And here are ours:

Game Design – Georgi Dimitrov;

Game Programming – Kristina Atanasova;

Concept Art – Alexander Barakovsky;

3D Art – Anton Slavov.

Congratulations! If you also want to develop in gaming, keep an eye on our website and our social networks (FacebookYouTubeInstagram and Linkedin) for updates and other scholarship opportunities soon!
