We finished the fourth school year at ARC Academy

On June 18th, we completed the fourth school year at ARC Academy. The event was attended by students, guests, partners and lecturers.

The graduating students presented the video games they developed in our Game Lab (fourth semester). This year they worked in two teams and created two game projects.

Actia is a 3D puzzle platformer that takes us to a fantasy world overrun by corruption. The main character solves puzzles and thus helps the inhabitants of this world to defeat corruption.

Mezosoic Mayhem is an endless runner for PC, in which the main character is a cute dinosaur. He goes through a series of obstacles in the jungle and collects goodies.

We were all impressed with the gaming progress the students had made in just a few months. Great credit for this goes to their mentor Eevgeniy Tenev, lead producer at Creative Assembly Sofia, who was always there for the students.

“It was a great adventure. You were completely taken out of your comfort zone and you did a great job,” he said. “The gaming industry is very competitive. If you want to be in it, you have to be prepared. ARC Academy provides the right environment for that,” added Evgeniy.

“Doing games is one of the most challenging things. You have to love it, and you definitely do,” said Borislav Bogdanov, Program Director at ARC Academy and Art Director at Snapshot Games.

After the presentations of the games, the guests viewed the exhibition with the art projects of the students who are completing their first year of studies.

We are happy that ARC Academy is a center of attraction for such creative and talented people! We wish you a lot of success, Class 2023! We believe you will find your place in the gaming industry. You will remain a part of the ARC family!
